Can globalization please reach tv4, tack?

Men ahhhhhhhh.... Swedish Idol starts today, but apparently I can't see it from here due to "rights limitations". Why why why? Ok, not that I need to see it, but still. People making fools of themselves is never wrong, is it?

Right, I'm busy studying. Think this is typical exam syndrome - I can also feel the Sims practically reaching out to me from the computor. F-O-C-U-S

Mexico - safest country in the world.

Ironic? I would never.

This Saturday, going on Sunday, at the disco La Rumba in central Monterrey ten heavily armed people entered and kidnapped a federal agent. Nobody apparently got hurt, but shots were fired and these people seemed to be in some way drug related.

Funny thing is I was supposed to go there this weekend, but since I didn't we'd go the upcoming weekend instead. I don't think so. Read the article here.

On the bright side of life!

Will make an effort to remove all bad-day feelings...

Trying to keep the spirit up despite all the raining... with the umbrella it's working fine, just that my feet get drenched :P

Bad day.

Studying

Yes, it does happen. Occassionally.

Hemma på min gata i stan...

Sensing a National Day coming up...?

My street ;)

New York!

Tickets booked for November!! :)

Break-in

Me and Timur tried to get the mystery door open yesterday. Didn't work, even with spoons. We'd be lousy burglars.

Have to do some serious studying now (Why, why, are Sundays always last minute panicate studying??).

Energy deficit.

Seriously slow day - apart from my active effort this morning I haven't really done anything. Have tried to get some exam studying done, but there's no energy and no motivation. And besides, it feels like I almost know it. Need some serious energizer...

The Secret Door

So I couple of nights ago I was all alone in the kitchen, minding my own business.. when suddenly I discover something, and I've never seen it before. In the kitchen, there is a door. I have never seen it before, which in itself is really strange.. I mean, it must have always been there.

I tried it, but it was locked. So I knocked (you never know) - but no one opened, no giant lion, no wizard, and there was no magic fairy forest suddenly appearing. I wont give up hope though, some day.. So basically what I wanted to communicate was that if I am one day suddenly not here anymore, the door has probably opened to another world and I'll be off doing adventures. Just so you know.

God I'm active!

Seriously tired but off to the gym for some running - on a Saturday morning! What happened to Matilda...? Don't worry, I'll overcompensate with chocolate today anyway. It's Saturday - lördagsgodis!! :)

Sushi!

I like! Never tried before, but yes, really nice actually. But I don't know - is it normally cheese (Philadelphia) in sushi, or is that "Mexican sushi"...? Well, anyway really nice food and company :)

Alex and Cristian.

I'm melting, I'm melting!

I know, I know, I'm really bad at updating at the moment. BUt it's raining, and I have exams and presentations and reports to do... (I remember what I said about raining in the beginning of the week, no need to remind me). And I have to get out and go meet some groups for school work even though I'll probably drown on the way there..

Plan for tonight: sushi! I've never tried, so we'll go eat that tonight. If the rain doesn't make us stay in that is..

The Bird Man

That would be the huy working at the computor/printing place at Tec. I don't know why, but constantly wissling, exactly like a bird. He seems happy.

Back from the Darkness

Nice day - had two classes cancelled :) Other than that we've just got the power and internet back, after three hours in total darkness.. Also managed to get some studies done, but I'm not super-motivated at the moment. Just want these two weeks to be over with so I can go to Germany ..

Right or obligation?

We're discussing citizenship in one of the classes - posing the question if the right to vote is in fact a right or an obligation?

Of course it is a right in a democratic society, but many also claim that it is our responsibility as citizens to participate acitively by voting.

However, in many Latin American countries they actually take the obligation thing a step further. In Ecuador you get a voting certificate to prove that you have participated and voted - and for every election you neglect to vote in, there will be a fine. Even more amazing - if you don't vote and hence don't have the certificate, you are not allowed to leave the country, but will be stopped at the border/passport control.

Maybe that is necessary in countries where democracy is too young and too fragile to be taken for granted?

Sleep, please?

I am so tired.. I have to be careful not to blink too much, eventually I just wont open my eyes again. And I am seriously tired of studying. I've decided that I don't like partials.

Colibri!

I continue to be amazed by the Tec. campus.. I actually saw a colibri there today!! It was flying around by a flower bush, drinking nectar - so beautiful! I've never seen one before, and really - most beautiful animal I've ever seen :) It's tiny, almost thought it was a large butterfly or something.. and the wings move so fast, and it has this weird way of sort of hanging in the air.. :) Pretty!

Campus really is a world of its own.. next to the flower bush there was a Bambi walking around.. Outside the walls of Tec. the only animals existing would be rats and cochroaches. I prefer the artificial wild life then, with the colibries :)
